Payments are processed through Stripe and may be facilitated through Podia.

Payment information is handled by those providers under their respective terms and privacy practices. UPWRD does not directly store complete credit or debit card numbers.

UPWRD may receive transaction-related information, such as:

  • purchaser name and email address;

  • product purchased;

  • transaction date;

  • amount and currency;

  • payment status; and

  • information reasonably necessary to provide access, support the transaction, maintain business records or address a payment issue.

4. Podia course and checkout platform

Checkout for Trading Foundations, course access and student login may occur through UPWRD’s external course platform hosted through Podia at upwrdtrading.com.

Information submitted through that platform may be processed by Podia to:

  • operate the checkout;

  • create and maintain customer accounts;

  • provide access to purchased products;

  • perform other services described in Podia’s own terms and privacy practices.

Podia may use cookies or other technologies that are necessary for account access, checkout, security and operation of its platform.

5. How UPWRD uses information

UPWRD may use personal information to:

  • provide products, courses and resources you request;

  • create and manage access to purchased content;

  • process and document transactions;

  • provide customer service;

  • respond to questions and requests;

  • send purchase confirmations and other transactional communications;

  • send marketing communications where consent or another lawful basis permits;

  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

UPWRD does not use personal information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

6. Email communications

UPWRD may send transactional or service-related communications concerning a purchase, account, course, support request or other interaction.

Marketing emails will be sent only where consent or another lawful basis permits. You may unsubscribe from marketing communications using the unsubscribe link provided in the message or by contacting hello@learnupwrd.com.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent UPWRD from sending essential transactional messages, such as purchase confirmations, account notices or information about a product you purchased.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

UPWRD uses cookies, local storage, session storage and similar technologies to:

  • operate its websites and course platform;

  • maintain website security;

  • remember privacy choices;

  • provide account, checkout and course functionality;

  • retain limited campaign attribution information;

  • understand website use when analytics consent has been provided; and

  • improve website and funnel performance.

Strictly necessary technologies may operate without analytics consent when required to provide a service requested by the visitor, remember privacy choices, maintain security, process checkout or support account access.

Non-essential analytics technologies are subject to the applicable consent mechanism described below.

8. Consent management on learnupwrd.com

On learnupwrd.com, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity are blocked unless you select “Accept analytics.”

Before acceptance:

  • analytics storage is denied;

  • advertising storage is denied;

  • advertising user data is denied;

  • advertising personalization is denied; and

  • UPWRD does not load Google Analytics 4 or Microsoft Clarity.

If you accept analytics, analytics storage is enabled and UPWRD may load Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. Advertising storage and advertising personalization remain disabled.

If you decline analytics, UPWRD does not send application page views or custom funnel events to Google Analytics 4 or Microsoft Clarity.

You can change or withdraw your choice using the “Privacy choices” link in the website footer. Withdrawing consent sends updated denial signals to the analytics providers and requests that Microsoft Clarity revoke its analytics consent.

9. Consent management and CookieScript on upwrdtrading.com

UPWRD uses CookieScript on upwrdtrading.com to present cookie choices and manage non-essential technologies on the Podia website.

CookieScript may use a strictly necessary first-party cookie called CookieScriptConsent to:

  • remember whether you accepted or rejected cookies;

  • remember the cookie categories you selected;

  • avoid asking for the same choice on every page; and

  • maintain evidence of the consent choice where consent recording is enabled.

Depending on the CookieScript configuration in use, CookieScript may process:

  • an anonymous or randomly generated consent identifier;

  • your accept, reject or category choices;

  • an anonymized IP address;

  • the date and time of your choice;

  • the page where consent was provided or withdrawn; and

  • browser or user-agent information.

This information is used to manage and document cookie consent. The duration of the consent cookie and the cookies detected on the Podia website are displayed through the CookieScript banner or its cookie declaration where available.

You may reopen the CookieScript preferences panel through the privacy or cookie-control link displayed on upwrdtrading.com. You may then review or change your choices.

Removing cookies through your browser may also reset your saved choice and cause the banner to appear again.

10. Cookie categories

Depending on the website and your choices, UPWRD may use the following categories:

Strictly necessary cookies

These are required for core functions such as:

  • security;

  • checkout;

  • payment processing;

  • account login;

  • course access;

  • remembering privacy choices; and

  • operation of the website or platform.

These technologies cannot always be disabled through the consent banner because the requested service may not function without them.

Analytics or performance cookies

These help UPWRD understand:

  • website traffic;

  • referral sources;

  • pages viewed;

  • website interactions;

  • navigation patterns;

  • course-selection and checkout interactions;

  • technical performance; and

  • usability problems.

These technologies are activated only according to the consent mechanism operating on the applicable website.

Functional cookies

Podia or another service provider may use functional technologies to provide features, remember preferences or support platform functionality.

Advertising or targeting cookies

UPWRD does not currently use the Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel or other advertising and retargeting pixels on learnupwrd.com.

Google advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalization remain disabled on learnupwrd.com.

If UPWRD introduces advertising or targeting technologies in the future, this Privacy Policy and the applicable consent banner will be updated before those technologies are intentionally activated.

11. Google Analytics 4

With your consent, UPWRD may use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand:

  • website traffic;

  • traffic and referral sources;

  • pages viewed;

  • website interactions;

  • campaign attribution;

  • course-selection interactions;

  • checkout-button interactions; and

  • website and funnel performance.

Google Analytics 4 may receive technical information such as browser and device information, IP-derived approximate geographic information and information about interactions with the website.

UPWRD uses Google Analytics for analytics and measurement, not for advertising or retargeting. Advertising-related consent settings remain denied on learnupwrd.com.

Google may process information in accordance with its own terms and privacy practices.

12. Microsoft Clarity

With your consent, UPWRD uses Microsoft Clarity on learnupwrd.com to understand how visitors interact with the website.

Clarity may provide:

  • session recordings;

  • heatmaps;

  • click information;

  • scrolling information;

  • navigation patterns; and

  • information used to identify technical or usability problems.

UPWRD uses this information to improve website content, navigation, usability and funnel performance.

UPWRD does not intentionally send names, email addresses, payment information or other sensitive personal information to Microsoft Clarity.

Microsoft processes information according to its own terms and privacy practices.

13. Campaign attribution

UPWRD may store limited first-party attribution information when you arrive at learnupwrd.com, including:

  • UTM source;

  • UTM medium;

  • UTM campaign;

  • UTM content;

  • UTM term;

  • landing page;

  • initial referrer; and

  • a timestamp.

This information helps UPWRD understand how visitors discover the website and which campaigns lead to course or checkout interactions.

Attribution records expire after 90 days. The stored attribution record does not intentionally include your name, email address or payment information.

Safe campaign parameters may be transferred to the UPWRD checkout URL to preserve attribution between learnupwrd.com and upwrdtrading.com.

14. Cross-domain measurement

UPWRD may configure Google Analytics to recognize learnupwrd.com and upwrdtrading.com as related UPWRD domains.

Cross-domain measurement may append a temporary Google linker parameter to URLs when a visitor moves between the two domains. This helps prevent one journey from being incorrectly counted as separate unrelated sessions.

Cross-domain measurement does not itself authorize analytics. Analytics data is processed only according to the consent mechanism and configuration operating on the applicable domain.

15. Third-party service providers

UPWRD currently uses or may use the following providers:

  • Google for Google Analytics 4;

  • Microsoft for Microsoft Clarity;

  • CookieScript for cookie consent management on the Podia website;

  • Podia for checkout, course hosting, student accounts and course delivery; and

  • Stripe for payment processing.

These providers may process information on UPWRD’s behalf or in connection with their own services. Their processing is also governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

Providers may change as UPWRD’s business evolves. This policy will be updated when a material provider is added or removed.

16. Disclosure of information

UPWRD may disclose personal information:

  • to providers that help operate UPWRD;

  • to process and support a transaction;

  • to provide account or course access;

  • where required by applicable law, court order or valid legal process;

  • where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, security threats or misuse;

  • to protect UPWRD’s rights, users or systems; and

  • in connection with a merger, reorganization, sale or transfer of business assets, subject to applicable law.

UPWRD does not sell personal information.

UPWRD does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising or targeted advertising.

17. International processing

UPWRD operates from Quebec, Canada and uses providers that may process or store information outside Quebec or Canada.

Information processed outside your jurisdiction may be subject to the laws of the location where it is processed, including lawful access by courts, law-enforcement agencies or other authorities.

UPWRD evaluates its providers and uses reasonable contractual and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information and services involved.

18. Data retention

UPWRD retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide requested products and services;

  • maintain customer and transaction records;

  • provide account or course access;

  • respond to support requests;

  • measure website and business performance;

  • meet tax, accounting and legal obligations;

  • resolve disputes;

  • prevent fraud and misuse; and

  • maintain security.

Retention periods vary depending on the nature of the information, the reason it was collected and applicable legal requirements.

Campaign attribution information stored by learnupwrd.com expires after 90 days.

Cookie and consent information is retained according to the settings and retention periods of the applicable technology or consent platform.

Information that is no longer required will be deleted, anonymized or securely disposed of where reasonably practicable and subject to applicable legal obligations.

19. Security

UPWRD uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information it handles.

These measures may include:

  • limiting access to information;

  • using reputable service providers;

  • relying on secure payment processors;

  • maintaining account and authentication controls;

  • restricting analytics until consent is provided;

  • minimizing information sent to analytics providers; and

  • reviewing website and service configurations.

No website, system or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. UPWRD cannot promise absolute security.

20. Children and minors

UPWRD’s products and services are intended for a general adult audience and are not directed to children under 14.

UPWRD does not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 14 without the consent of a parent or legal guardian where such consent is required.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to UPWRD without appropriate consent, contact hello@learnupwrd.com so the situation can be investigated and appropriate action can be taken.

21. Your privacy rights and choices

Subject to applicable law and any lawful exceptions, you may request:

  • access to personal information UPWRD holds about you;

  • correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;

  • deletion of information where applicable;

  • information about how your personal information is used or disclosed;
